Rental of instruments from 1 to 24 months

Associated services
Alongside our rental contract, you may take advantage of a full range of services to fulfil your needs:

For all durations: Installation ♦ Familiarisation ♦ Qualification ♦ Removal
More than 12 months: Preventive Maintenance ♦ Re-Qualification

Performed by personnel trained and accredited by Agilent Technologies, these services are conducted in compliance with the manufacturer’s recommendations and procedures.
You are guaranteed quality service throughout the rental period.

Services are not included in the rental payment and are subject to separate invoicing.

Warranty
Short-term rental equipment is covered by the manufacturer’s warranty throughout the contract duration, even if said period exceeds the standard warranty.

Support and After-sales service
In the event of a breakdown or a problem using the equipment, our Support department provides support and after-sales service for short term rental equipment.
If necessary, the manufacturer may be brought in.

Installation

Installation consists of commissioning a product on-site, including:

  • unpacking and physically positioning the equipment on the laboratory bench
  • electrical and gas or liquid fluid hook-ups
  • configuring control software and communications tests with the instrument (if necessary)
  • final compliance check (reference sample analysis)

This is performed by a Support technician and may require the client’s assistance.

Before the servicing, a site preparation document is sent to the client to ensure that the laboratory environment fulfils the manufacturer’s criteria.

Should this not be the case, the necessary adjustments will be made to prevent any problems or lost time during the servicing.

Familiarisation

Familiarisation consists of providing the client with essential information to become familiar with and use the product on-site.

The points covered include the primary functional features of the equipment which enable the user to run an analysis and process the resulting data freely.

It presupposes that the equipment is installed in an environment enabling its use in the best possible conditions.

Qualification

We distinguish between two types of qualification:

  • Installation Qualification (IQ)

This consists of ensuring the product is installed on-site in compliance with manufacturer procedures and recording the following references:

    • products and associated serial numbers
    • installed accessories and options
    • certificates and conformity reports issued by manufacturers
    • documents (paper or electronic) supplied to the user

The IQ may be supplemented with an OQ.

  • Operational Qualification (OQ)

This consists of performing tests or readings to ensure the product is operating correctly and meets manufacturer specifications according to its established procedures and recording the results.

The tests to be conducted (accuracy, precision, carryover, linearity, stability, sensitivity, etc.) are based on the item to be qualified and the overall system configuration.

For contracts longer than 12 months, we may conduct OQ annually (frequency recommended by the manufacturer, Agilent Technologies).

In this case, preventive maintenance must be carried out on the relevant equipment beforehand.

Preventive maintenance

Preventive maintenance (PM) is a general overhaul to guarantee continuous error-free operation.

This is aimed at detecting potential problems before they cause failures and consists of:

  • cleaning, testing, diagnosing, and adjusting mechanical and electronic devices
  • replacing faulty, worn, or suspect consumables
  • a final compliance check (reference sample analysis)

A detailed service report (including a working procedure and any readings taken) completes this service.

All our PM services include any required spare parts.

Removal

Our removal service includes shutting down, dismantling, and packaging a product on-site.

This occurs at the end of the rental contract (unless the equipment is purchased) and frees the user from preparing the equipment to be returned to Bios Analytique.

Depending on the product type, removal consists of:

  • a quick inspection of general system status
  • preventive maintenance
  • backup (on media provided by the user) of data produced during the rental period (sequences, methods, analysis)
  • dismantling
  • packing the equipment in its original boxes
  • removing the equipment after it has been inspected and packed
